Good Spa Guide Awards 2023: Winners announced

The best British spas were announced at a Gala Dinner at Spa Life 2023

The winners of the 14th annual Good Spa Guide Awards have been announced at the Spa Life UK conference, held in the Cotswolds.

The consumer-voted awards celebrate spa excellence from across the UK and this year’s accolades span ten categories.

Winners in all ten sections were announced by comedian and actress Jayde Adams.

Caitlin Dalton, director of The Good Spa Guide, commended the winners and finalists for their hard work. “They all deserve a huge amount of praise,” she added.

“We were delighted to receive a record-breaking 412,526 consumer votes in this year's awards, confirming just how important our much-loved spas are for our health and wellbeing."

The winners

Best Destination Spa was awarded to Ragdale Hall Spa in Leicestershire, while Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall near Sunderland was crowned Best Spa for Guest Experience.

Best Spa for a Countryside Getaway was awarded to Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire, and Best Boutique Spa went to Stanley House Hotel & Spa in Blackburn.

Best Day Spa was awarded to The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall in Lancashire, while The Woodland Spa, also in Lancashire, was named Best Hotel Spa.

Best Spa for Wellness was awarded to Champneys Tring and Rudding Park Spa in North Yorkshire was named Best Spa for the Eco-conscious.

Best City Spa went to Hope Street Hotel Spa in Liverpool, and Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa in the Lake District was awarded Best Spa Garden.

The Good Spa Guide provides an expert guide, as well as in-depth reviews, of the best spas in the UK and Ireland.

The trademarked bubble rating system is the UK’s only national spa rating system.
