Global Wellness Summit announces co-chairs for 2023 event

Cathy Feliciano-Chon and Ali Al Kuwari will co-chair the 2023 Global Wellness Summit

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) has appointed the co-chairs for its 17th annual event, set to take place in Doha, Qatar from November 6-9.

Communications and brand development expert Cathy Feliciano-Chon will partner with Ali Al Kuwari, CEO of Qatar-based developer Msheireb Properties to host the event.

A subsidiary of Qatar Foundation for Education, Sciences and Community Development, Msheireb Properties is also the lead sponsor of the 2023 GWS.

Msheireb Properties developed the Zulal Wellness Resort, operated by Chiva-Som. The Middle East’s first full-immersion wellbeing resort, it offers services and treatments based upon Islamic healing principles and using indigenous ingredients.

Qatar’s sustainability and wellness vision

The 2023 event will be hosted at Msherieb Downtown Doha (MDD), a signature Msheireb Properties project.

The sustainable city district has been created combining the traditional methods of urban planning with modern technology aimed at preserving the environment as well as the cultural identity of Qatar.

Al Kuwari has been one of the leading engineers of MDD since its inception.

He also led the execution and operations of major facilities at MDD including Mandarin Oriental, Al-Wadi Hotel M Gallery and Park Hyatt, in addition to Zulal Wellness Resort.
