Eynsham Baths at Estelle Manor has revealed its first retreat offering will be in partnership with Thai wellness sanctuary, Kamalaya Koh Samui.

The Cultivating Resilience retreat will be held from 22-25 June at the hotel’s 3,000sqm Roman-inspired bath house in Oxfordshire.

Guests will stay at Estelle Manor and experience a curated programme designed to restore balance and wellbeing.

The retreat will bring together practitioners from the renowned Kamalaya Koh Samui resort in Thailand alongside the Eynsham Baths’ master in residence, Manos Dimoudis.

The retreat will offer holistic practices such as chakra meditation and chanting, as well as the ancient breathwork technique of Pranayama.

There will be two expertly guided workshops – building a resilient mind and Ayurvedic wisdom for inner balance.

“It was very important to me that the first Eynsham Baths retreat had a clear intention and the need to build true resilience that encompasses mental, emotional and physical strength has never been felt more relevant. We’re honoured to be partnering with Kamalaya for this transformational experience.”

Cultivating Resilience

Kamalaya’s and Eynsham Baths’ teams of wellness specialists will guide guests through a tailored programme of immersive classes, transformative treatments and sacred rituals. The aim is to restore balance and cultivate lasting resilience from within.

Meals will be co-crafted by Kamalaya alongside Estelle Manor’s executive chef Richard Bias to align with Kamalaya’s cooking methods and ethos.

The two 90-minute signature treatments will be Kamalaya’s Three Treasures and Eynsham Baths’ Warrior Massage, using deep massage techniques to target muscular holding patterns.

“This collaborative retreat is a meeting of two worlds, one rooted in the transformative power of Eastern wisdom and holistic wellness, the other in the elegance of a refined retreat experience. Together, we are creating a space for personal renewal, greater ease and vitality.”

Gopal Kumar

General manager and group director of wellness development at Kamalaya.

“To ensure an authentic Kamalaya experience, we are bringing our expert therapists and mentors from Thailand to collaborate with Estelle Manor’s team,” continues Kumar.

“Together we will integrate Kamalaya’s time-honoured wellness philosophies with Eynsham Baths’ state-of-the-art wellness facility.

“This synergy will create a truly immersive and transformative retreat, combining healing therapies, guided practices and curated wellness activities that align with the theme of Cultivating Resilience. Estelle Manor offers the perfect sanctuary for profound transformation.”

The intimate retreat presents a unique opportunity for guests to experience the holistic wellness philosophies of Kamalaya in the UK.

Guests will be immersed in Eynsham Baths’ multi-sensory experience, which features hydrotherapy pools, thermal suites and therapeutic relaxation spaces.

The neoclassical architecture is inspired by the Roman villa ruins discovered close to the estate. A grand mezzanine bathing hall is located at the centre of the baths and includes two cold plunge pools plus a Scottish bucket.

There is a large marble-encased, partially open-air breathwork pool with views into the ancient woodland, a steam room and a hay sauna as well as a marble-clad hammam and 10 treatment rooms.
