An ESPA Life at Corinthia London veteran, Danila joined the spa in 2015 as an ESPA advanced therapist before being promoted to head therapist in 2018.
For the past three years, she has been presiding over the spa’s treatment offering as treatments manager, and will now oversee the day-to-day running of the spa.
Speaking exclusively to European Spa, Danila said: “I’m thrilled to continue my journey with Corinthia and our leading spa brands partners, delivering holistic and restorative treatments.
“Our vision is to create spa experiences that extend beyond the treatment room and spa facilities, empowering our guests to build their resilience in their ever-changing lives.”
With more than 10 years’ experience in spa and luxury hotels, McLellan’s employment history includes front-of-house positions at the prestigious Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow, Scotland.
She began working at ESPA Life at Corinthia as front of house manager in 2018, before undertaking the Corinthia Group’s assistant manager training in 2019.
As spa operations manager, she will oversee all aspects of the spa operations and work alongside Danila and spa director Aysun Mut to maintain the spa’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading hotel destination spas.
“I’m excited about my new position as spa operations manager and am thrilled to be part of ESPA Life at Corinthia’s continued growth and evolution and ensuring we continue to deliver the exceptional service that we are renowned fo,” McLellan told European Spa.
The appointment news comes shortly after the spa launched its Restorative Wellness concept.
Described as the future of wellness, the concept is built on five pillars of wellbeing; resilience, nurture, reflection, purify and vitality.
The concept takes a holistic approach to wellbeing and is rooted in positive lifestyle principles, aiming to harmonise guest’s physical, emotional and mental states, with its treatments including elements of nutrition, exercise, movement and mindfulness.
“Our ultimate goal is to future proof guest’s health by helping them to acknowledge, achieve and maintain a state of harmony,” pre-opening senior associate Sharon Haynes told European Spa.
“We are promoting prevention as the most effective form of self-care,” she added.
