Crerar Hotels has announced ambitious renovation plans that will see the Scottish hotel group invest £10 million (€12 million) into improving its property portfolio, with more than £4.5 million earmarked for the renovation of the spa facilities at its Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa, Golf View Hotel & Spa and Deeside Inn properties.

The plan’s first phase is already underway, with redevelopment works for the spas at Loch Fyne Hotel in Inveraray and Golf View Hotel & Spa in Nairn nearing completion.

Loch Fyne's Shore Spa is expected to open in Spring 2022

Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa

Expected to open at the end of April 2022, the new Shore Spa at Loch Fyne is the result of a £765,000 investment and will feature several new therapy suites as well as a healing Himalayan Salt Room and an improved hydro experience.

Treatments on offer will include a eucalyptus steam experience as well as rituals from Scottish seaweed skincare brand ishga.

A new outdoor terrace with ice drenches and loch-side saunas will complete the new spa offering.

Golf View's new Coast spa will feature Scotland's first stone bath steam room

Golf View Hotel & Spa

At Golf View, £850,000 has been invested to transform the hotel’s country club into what has been described as the region’s “most luxurious spa”.

‘Coast’ will have double the number of treatment rooms and will include a Himalayan salt therapy room and Scotland’s first stone bath steam room.

It will offer treatments, also featuring ishga products, inspired by Scotland to help guests escape and unwind.

Coast has also announced plans to develop ‘Beach Hut’, a beachside private spa experience that is expected to launch in the summer.

Deeside Inn will undergo £2.2 million renovation including new spa treatment suites

Deeside Inn

The group’s Deeside Inn in Ballater is undergoing a £2.2 million renovation that will see the inn relaunch as The Balmoral Arms.

Expected to open in Spring 2022, the inn will include several deluxe suites, family suites and rooms designed for guests exploring the great outdoors in Deeside, as well as a new dining experience and spa treatment rooms.
