Carden Park launches its own in-house product range

Carden Park Hotel and Spa in Cheshire has worked in partnership with skincare brand Natural Spa Factory to create an in-house product range.

The collection has been formulated to be gentle on skin, with a subtle scent that is bespoke to Carden Park.

The range comprises shampoo and conditioner, body wash, hand wash and hand lotion, and a reed diffuser. It will be available across all elements of the hotel, including the golf club, The Spa at Carden, and to buy from the spa shop from March.

Talking exclusively to European Spa, Emma Pridding, spa director at Carden Park, says: “After such a successful year of award wins, we were seeing demand for in-house products from guests who want bespoke luxury and to take the spa experience away – either for themselves or as a gift.

“The signature scent adds exclusivity – it’s a one-off that’s specific to Carden Park. The Yuzu and Marjoram collection in particular is a favourite of mine and is something really unique.”

The Natural Spa Factory touch

With many guests requesting vegan, cruelty-free, SLS and paraben-free products, Carden Park opted to work with Natural Spa Factory, as they could deliver all these elements for the range.

“In terms of packaging, we wanted to move away from plastic and use more glass, and Natural Spa factory were also able to offer this sustainably,” says Pridding.

Unique yuzu

The Yuzu range takes inspiration from east Asia and is a blend of lime, grapefruit and mandarin scents. Yuzu shampoo and conditioner is inspired yuzuyu, the Japanese custom of hot bathing. The formulas blend argan, jojoba and almond oils to nourish, protect and replenish. 

The Yuzu body wash is made from whole yuzu fruits that have been dispersed through hot water to release a soothing scent.

Added grapefruit oil boosts circulation and increasing blood flow. It also features patchouli leaf oil for natural moisture and knotted marjoram oil to eliminate impurities.

The Fig and Vanilla hand wash and lotion are imbued with fig oils to help reverse skin damage, while hydrolysed wheat protein and high glutamine levels to lock in moisture.

Lastly the Oud Diffuser contains oud derived from the tropical agar tree, one of the most expensive raw ingredients sourced in India, famous for its grounding properties.

“We wanted to include home fragrances in the collection as we use the diffusers in all spa treatment rooms,” says Pridding. “Now that same calming environment can be replicated at home.”
