Borgo Lanciano, a luxury resort in Macerata, Italy, has reopened following an extensive renovation.

The project was helmed by architecture firms Studio Bizzarro & Partners and WiP Architects who added five ground floor suites and a new swimming pool.

Work also included the addition of the Kimben Spa. Billed as ‘an authentic haven for wellness’, the 2,000sqm spa was designed by Studio Bizzarro & Partners and features several treatment rooms equipped with Lemi furniture.

A relaxation area, a bio-sauna, a steam bath and sensory showers with chromo-aroma therapy are now available to guests. An infinity pool and two heated pools with water massage stations and integrated loungers complete the offering.

The spa offers Kneipp therapy, a five-pillar philosophy combining hydrotherapy with exercise, herbs, nutrition and lifestyle management.

Its treatment menu features a host of face and body rituals, with thalasso, draining, detoxifying and anti-ageing experiences on offer.

“The magic of the Borgo is regenerated with new energy. We have given our spa more space, more wellness and more taste. Even more energy for body, mind and heart,” said a spokesperson.

“Our resort was created from a deep embrace of the surrounding nature. The quiet of the forests, the pure mountain air and the spring waters blend perfectly in the new Kimben Spa.”
