The Althea Spa Retreat has launched at the Mykonos Grand Resort in Greece.

Created in partnership with Maria Vafiadis, founder of wellness interior architects MKV Design, Althea Spa covers 750sqm of indoor and outdoor space overlooking the island of Delos.

"Creating the new spa was about connecting with all of this by distilling the essence of the island into an uplifting experience for mind, body and soul."

Maria Vafiadis

Founder, MKV Design

Named after the goddess of healing, the spa features a traditional Mykonian palette of white and numerous shades of blue.

Maximising natural light wherever possible, the interior design includes specially designed ceiling panels in the treatment and relaxation rooms that allow the sunshine to filter through.

Three couples’ treatment rooms offer views of the Aegean and guests can also also enjoy a semi-caved thalasso pool and a variety of treatment and relaxation areas in the spa garden.

Nestled in a hillside which leads to a private beach, the Mykonos Grand resort is a collection of whitewashed, cube shaped buildings typical of Cycladic architecture.
