Following the success of its flagship location, the Nici Bournemouth, the Nici Group has announced plans for two new UK openings this summer.

In Cornwall, the Nici Newquay will open in the former Hotel Victoria, which has been transformed into a clifftop retreat overlooking the Atlantic.

The property will have 82 guest rooms and a comprehensive spa. Facilities will include a 20m indoor pool, thermal suite and seven treatment rooms.

There will also be a gym, private cinema and generous social spaces. The hotel’s restoration includes the restitution of a rare Victorian bathing lift providing direct access to Great Western beach below.

A defining feature will be a dramatic clifftop pool, with a modern pool club and a sauna with striking coastal views.

“Our aim is always to create places that feel like an escape, without needing to get on a plane,” said founder of the Nici Group, Nicolas Roach. “It’s about taking what makes places special and elevating it into something that feels considered, distinctive and easy to enjoy.”

Bringing the Hamptons to Hampshire

Aiming to bring the renowned style of the Hamptons to Hampshire, the Nici New Forest will open in the former Elmers Court Hotel in Lymington.

The 118-bedroom hotel sits within 23 acres, directly on the banks of the Lymington River with far reaching views across the Solent.

The group is aiming to create a flagship wellness destination for the region, with a fully immersive spa.

Facilities will include an indoor pool, extensive thermal and hydro experiences, ten treatment rooms and relaxation spaces, alongside a fitness studio.

Results-driven treatments

Evolve Organic Beauty will be the exclusive spa partners for all three Nici spas. The collaboration introduces a curated menu of bespoke face and body treatments alongside spa amenities.

Evolve’s spa rituals combine pressure point techniques from traditional Chinese medicine with western anatomy insights, creating restorative treatments.

“Evolve Organic Beauty’s commitment to natural, results-driven skincare and conscious wellbeing aligns perfectly with our vision and values,” said Lukasz Dwornik, managing director of the Nici Group.

The Nici’s inaugural site opened in Bournemouth in summer 2022. The brand’s expansion will continue with a fourth hotel that is planned for Southampton’s Town Quay.
