Aman Rosa Alpina, which sits in the Italian village of San Cassiano in the Dolomites, Italy, has reopened with a newly built Aman Spa.

Led by architect Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston, a long time Aman collaborator, the redevelopment also includes remodelling of all guest rooms and the introduction of new suites.

In the Aman Spa, the brand’s distinct wellness philosophy is introduced through seven treatment rooms, a 20-metre heated outdoor infinity pool and an indoor pool.

There is also a family pool and extensive hydrotherapy facilities including a Finnish sauna, steam room, hot tub and a cold plunge.

Facilities in the 1,684sqm two-storey spa are completed with a 220sqm fitness centre and yoga studio, plus a hair and nail salon.

Yuki Kiyono, Aman’s global head of health and wellness, acted as spa consultant for the project.

“At Aman Rosa Alpina, we blend Aman's holistic wellness philosophy with the natural healing energy of the Dolomites. Our guests are encouraged to truly reconnect, with themselves and with nature, by breathing in the pure mountain air, hiking through wildflower-filled meadows or skiing beneath the awe-inspiring peaks. We offer more than relaxation; it's renewal.”

Aman signature spa menu

The curated treatment menu offers Aman’s signature therapies, available in its spa destinations worldwide, which use the Aman Skincare product range.

These include grounding treatments, as a balm for the busyness of everyday life, and purifying treatments, which act as a spiritual cleanser. Nourishing treatments nurture the body and encourage the healing of emotional and mental wounds.

Treatments specific to Aman Rosa Alpina use aromatherapy formulas by Italian phytocosmetics brand MEI. The Dolomites Body Ritual is a revitalising treatment using pure MEI peppermint and spearmint essential oils. The Well-Ageing Facial uses the brand’s AD+ Intensive Treatment serum to stimulate cell renewal.

Facial treatments incorporate the bespoke Aman x 111SKIN hydrogel formula.

The spa design was led by architect Jean-Michel Gathy

“The opening of Aman Rosa Alpina is the realisation of a vision that has been years in the making,” said Vlad Doronin, chairman and CEO of Aman Group.

“I first experienced the magic of this property as a guest many years ago and developed a lasting friendship with the Pizzinini family. With its exceptional location in the heart of the Dolomites, we saw the opportunity to create a sanctuary that reflects both the heritage of the region and the essence of Aman.

“Aman Rosa Alpina now begins its next chapter – welcoming guests into a place of peace, privacy and enduring beauty.”

Formerly known as Rosa Alpina, the hotel has been with the Pizzinini family since 1939. Hugo and Ursula Pizzinini will remain at the helm.
