Dior has revealed it will open its next spa in Belmond’s Hotel Splendido on the Italian Riviera.

Part of a multi-phase renovation, the Portofino hotel will launch Dior Le Jardin des Rêves, set within its gardens, in June 2025.

Located on the second floor with views over the Ligurian coastline, the indoor-outdoor spa will offer guests a nature-inspired experience.

As well as four treatment rooms, one of which transforms into a beauty boudoir, the spa will have a private roof terrace with gazebos overlooking the sea. The terrace will have a wellness bar serving bespoke beverages.

In an elegant lounge bathed in natural light, Dior’s skincare, makeup and fragrance products will be retailed.

Set across two floors, the spa’s decor is inspired by Dior’s iconic Toile de Jouy and includes quartzite stone, oak wood and soft lime tones.

It has been conceived as a summer residence, reminiscent of Christian Dior’s retreats in Granville, Milly La Foret and La Colle Noire. The spa blends tradition with contemporary design.

Dior has hosted a pop-up spa for guests in the Dior Jardin des Rêves at the Hotel Splendino for the past two summers. These pop-ups inspired the permanent opening of Dior Le Jardin des Rêves.

Spa treatments inspired by nature

The treatment menu draws inspiration from the hotel’s location in the protected National Park of Portofino. Treatments use [comfort zone] for skin and Davines for hair.

The signature Splendidior treatment harnesses the power of semi-precious stones, placed on key energy points in the feet, hands face and head.

La Dolce Vita Therapy includes a yoga session in the gardens at Splendido, a body massage and a radiance-enhancing facial.

New Look, D-Tissue and Constellation are full body treatments aimed at redefining the silhouette, releasing tension and reoxygenating muscles, for deep relaxation.

Facial treatments include the Kobi-Dior, using specific Kobido techniques and the anti-ageing Dior Powered by Hydrafacial.

A series of offerings for younger guests include the Mother & Daughter Beauty Package and the Balance Massage, designed for parent and child to enjoy together.

The Splendido legacy

Hotel Splendido was originally built as a monastic retreat centuries ago. It has welcomed guests including Winston Churchill, Grace Kelly and Charlie Chaplin.

It has been undergoing a phased renovation by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, who has worked to blend the hotel’s historic charm with contemporary luxury.
