Lanserhof announces plans to open first Spanish resort

Medical destination group Lanserhof, together with global asset manager AltamarCAM and Spanish real estate investment group Inbest-GPF, has announced plans for a new resort in Marbella, Spain.

With investment in resort totalling €100 million (£86 million), Lanserhof will create a new health resort near Marbella, within the renowned Finca Cortesin resort.

Finca Cortesin has been ranked as the best resort hotel in Spain and is centred around an award-winning hotel and a golf course.

The state-of-the-art 24,000sqm Lanserhof resort will offer 70 rooms and wellness facilities as well as medical equipment and services.

Preventative medicine and longevity-based wellness

A leading operator of health resorts specialising in preventive medicine, longevity and wellness, Lanserhof was awarded World’s Best Medical Spa in 2022 for the eighth year running.

The group currently operates three health resorts located in Lans (Austria), Tegernsee and Sylt (Germany).

It also has day resorts in London and Hamburg.

Working in the fields of innovative medicine and health regeneration for more than 35 years, the Lanserhof Concept is the result of years of research and combines traditional naturopathy with the latest medical advancements.

Construction is set to start in mid-2024 and the doors to Spain’s first Lanserhof site are expected to open in 2026.
