Marriot brings W Escape to Greece

Marriott International’s first W Escape in Greece, W Costa Navarino,  is the latest addition to the brand’s growing European portfolio, which includes properties in Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, and is the result of a partnership with high-end tourism developer; Temes S.A. 

The resort occupies 13 hectares of Navarino waterfront in Messinia and offers 246 guests rooms, including suites and villas, many equipped with their own private pools and offering stunning views of the Ionian Sea.

A boutique spa and fitness centre completes the resort’s offering.

The Away Spa 

The 500sqm Away Spa takes a holistic approach to wellness and offers seven treatment cabins, including two couples’ cabins, relaxation areas, and a wet lounge equipped with a soft sauna, Finnish sauna, steam room and ice grotto fountain. 

Its treatment menu features face, body and massage rituals, powered by Italian skincare brand [comfort zone] and products from local spa brand Anazoe, both of which are available to purchase in the spa’s retail area. 

The spa also offers several beauty services including, nails, waxing and makeup application, and a series of ‘quick fix’ treatments, including an LED mask, massage chair and beauty boost face treatment.

Fit Zone

Completing the spa’s offering is the 108sq m Fit Zone, a 24-hour gym outfitted with Life Fitness equipment and a 25m outdoor pool. 

Other amenities include four golf courses, tennis courts and a water sports hub, complemented by a programme of activities such as biking, hiking, rock climbing and sailing. 

The property was designed by Greek architecture firm Tombazis and Associates Architects and, inspired by local traditions and residences, features locally-sourced materials such as wood, stone and reed.

Interiors have been created by MKV Design, a London-based interior design practice specialising in luxury hotels.  

Modern Luxury
