The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) has announced an opening date for its highly-anticipated Costa Navarino property. Scheduled to open in Q2 2023, the Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino will be the group’s first Greek property and is the result of a partnership between MOHG and high-end tourism developer and operator, Temes S.A. The beachfront property, set in 140-hectares of natural landscape, will be located in Navarino Bay, a popular tourist destination in Costa Navarino on the south-west coast of Peloponnese.

The resort will feature 99 guest rooms, including 48 pool villas, each offering stunning sea views and equipped with its own outdoor terrace, as well as five restaurants and bars.

James Riley, Group Chief Executive, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group

An extensive spa and fitness centre complete the resort’s offering. Occupying 1,500sqm, the facility is anchored by a 25m indoor pool and will offer Mandarin Oriental’s signature wellness therapies. It will feature specially designed indoor treatment rooms and outdoor pavilions, as well as state-of-the-art heat experiences.

Architects Tombazis & Associates Architects and K-Studio crafted a unique design for the property, which, inspired by Costa Navarino’s sustainability principles, features natural materials and planted roofs to blend into the landscape.

Additionally, the resort will be adjacent to the Navarino Agora, an open marketplace combining retail, artisanal street food, open-air cinema and authentic local experiences.

Guests will also have access to a variety of leisure and dining options at the Navarino Dunes and Navarino  Waterfront, as well as a host of outdoor pursuits such as golf, hiking, rock climbing, tennis and water sports.

“We’re proud to have Mandarin Oriental bring their hospitality experience for the first time to Greece."
