Raison d’Etre launches global scholarship programme for online spa management course

Spa consultancy and training platform Raison d’Etre has launched a scholarship programme for its online spa management education course, Spa Business Management. 

Aiming to help individuals starting in the spa and wellness industries, the scholarship will provide one applicant with a bursary covering the cost of the course, worth $2,195 (£1,680/€2,000). 

Open to applicants worldwide, the scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis and will cover the cost of all course materials and feedback from one of the programme’s mentors for a maximum time of six months, the programme’s advised completion time. 

Students on the scholarship programme will be expected to demonstrate their commitment to the course by consistently studying and submitting assignments within the required timeline.

Course applications will close on March 28, with the Educational Board of Spa Business Education beginning the selection process in early April.

Applicants will be assessed on their academic and professional achievements as well as their financial need and commitment to pursuing and furthering their career in the spa industry. 

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer a scholarship to a spa and wellness specialist, someone who may not have been able to have had the chance to complete the course otherwise,” said course mentor Nikos Kouremenos. 

“Education is a powerful tool, particularly in an ever-changing industry such as spa and wellness. This is a first for Spa Business Education, and upon the scholarship’s success we hope to continue this in the future.”

Led by spa development specialists, Raison d’Etre’s comprehensive online spa management course offers students the chance to study from anywhere at any time. Its curriculum was developed by a team of leading industry experts and is based on expertise cultivated from a wealth of industry experience.

Existing modules include Orientation to Spa Business Education, Marketing and Public Relations, Leadership and Strategic Planning, Finance, Human Resources, Operations & Service Quality Management Excellence and Business Plan.
