About World Wellness Weekend

World Wellness Weekend was founded in 2017 by Jean-Guy de Gabriac to support the United Nations’ objective of “Good Health and Wellbeing for All” by promoting the Five Pillars of Wellness: Sleep and Creativity, Nutrition and Immunity, Movement and Vitality, Mindfulness and Serenity, Sense of Purpose and Solidarity.

“It is such a pleasure to see the World Wellness Weekend grow exponentially each year, even during Covid, with the support of 200 volunteers (ambassadors and coordinators), three ministers of tourism, two ministers of health, 30 mayors and 60 associations and federations,” said de Gabriac.

“Not only are iconic venues participating like Chiva Som, Kamalaya, Rancho La Puerta and Zulal, but also some groups are going all in the name of wellness for all: CIWAS which has 430 fitness clubs in Italy, Fitness First’s 150 fitness clubs in Indonesia and TAJ Hotels’ 70 properties across the globe.”
