Professional Beauty 2021: UK spa winners announced

The winners of this year’s Professional Beauty Awards have been announced at a ceremony at The Brewery in London, UK. 

The awards marked a return to in-person events for the brand, which celebrates the best of the global beauty, spa and salon industries.

150 entrants were judged across nine categories by a panel of industry experts on factors including customer experience, leadership skills, customer experience and treatment delivery.

Among this year’s winners in the UK spa categories was Nàdarra Spa at the Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa in North Yorkshire, which took the prize for boutique spa of the year, while The Spa at Carden at Carden Park in Cheshire was named large spa of the year. 

Employer of the year was awarded to Cecily Spa in Hertfordshire, while Rudding Park Hotel and Spa in North Yorkshire was named spa team of the year.

Individuals honoured in the ceremony included Viktoryia Rohal from Viktoryia Health in Essex, who was named therapist of the year, and Finlay Anderson, area spa and leisure director for UK at InterContinental Hotels Group, who took the prize for spa leader of the year for his work at the Spa at Kimpton Blythswood Square in Glasgow, Scotland. 

“Just surviving the wildly unpredictable challenges we’ve faced over the last two years and coming out the other side is an achievement in itself,” said Eve Oxberry, editor of industry publication Professional Beauty.

“But the finalists and winners in the room here tonight have done far more than that, demonstrating incredible innovation and leadership in a constantly shifting landscape, finding new and exciting ways to care for their clients and teams and develop their businesses into outstanding examples of what our professional and resilient industry can achieve,” she added.
