Sidmouth’s Victoria Hotel has unveiled its new Source Spa, following a project investment of £1.5 million.

Created by West Three architects, the spa has an indoor heated pool, hydrotherapy pool and an ice bath. The wet facilities, which also include an aromatherapy sauna and a steam room, were supplied by IJ Cannings & Son.

In the two therapy rooms, treatments use Source Spa’s own-brand premium product range, curated to complement its holistic and cosmeceutical treatments with authentic beauty and wellness in mind.

The holistic products in Source Spa Collection are made of natural botanicals such as herbs, plants and flowers.

"Source Spa is more than just a place to unwind; it’s a destination where every guest can restore balance and rejuvenate. Every aspect has been carefully designed to offer a sanctuary of wellbeing, where guests can enjoy the combination of modern treatments and first-class facilities.”

Matthew Raistrick

Area director, Victoria Hotel

The spa employs two therapists, managed by Source Spa manager, Jacquelyn Riddell.

A DéeSee Pro LED Light therapy mask is used in combination with the facials treatment to improve common problematic skin conditions.

Additional supplies include Florence Roby uniforms, towels from Buckleigh Linen Services and treatment beds from Ellisons.

There is a gym equipped by Life Fitness and the spa uses a Trybe booking system.

The Brend Collection

The Victoria Hotel is part of the Brend Collection, which opened its first Source Spa at sister hotel, Saunton Sands in north Devon.

Founded in 1955, the Brend Collection has 11 hotels throughout Devon and Cornwall.

“Since our first Source Spa at Saunton Sands Hotel was such a success, I’m confident the second edition will have the same impact,” said Matthew Brend, director of the Brend Collection.
