UKSA welcomes new board members

Caroline Mullen from Schloss Roxburghe and Laura Steventon from Exclusive Beauty and Thalgo strengthen the association’s representation in Scotland

The UK Spa Association (UKSA) has announced the appointment of two new board members.

Strengthening the association’s representation of the Scottish spa industry, Caroline Mullen, director of spa and wellness at Schloss Roxburghe, brings more than 20 years’ experience across the country’s luxury hospitality, spa and wellness sectors.

Laura Steventon, commercial and sales leadership for Exclusive Beauty and Thalgo UK, has spent almost three decades working across the spa, beauty and wellness industries in the UK and South Africa.

Both appointees bring experience, fresh perspectives and a passion for the future of the spa industry. Their appointments will help the UKSA build stronger connections across Scotland and ensure it represents the views and needs of Scottish spas at a national level.

At Schloss Roxburghe Spa and Golf Resort, part of Destination by Hyatt, Mullen oversees spa, wellness and leisure operations. She is responsibile for strategy, commercial performance, people development and guest experience.

Steventon’s experience spans spa operations, the cruise sector, professional skincare, brand development, commercial strategy and education.

At Exclusive Beauty and Thalgo UK, her work centres on commercial strategy, brand development and growth as well as the development of people.

Her additional background in psychotherapy and executive coaching brings a further understanding of human behaviour and the factors that influence meaningful change.

UKSA Winter Networking Event

The UKSA’s next networking event will take place on November 25 at the Grand in York, home of the newly opened Subrosa Spa.

A full agenda will be circulated closer to the time. There will be a drinks reception at the Grand on the evening prior to the event.
