Turnberry Spa reopens following multi-million-pound investment

The Turnberry Spa, part of the Turnberry resort in Ayrshire, Scotland, has reopened following a multi-million-pound renovation. 

The spa underwent an 18-month refurbishment with the addition of several new thermal experiences including a new poolside bio-sauna with floor-to-ceiling ocean views, as well as experience showers, ice fountains and his and hers saunas and steam rooms. 

A 20-metre indoor swimming pool provides views of the island of Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran.

The spa’s treatment menu has been upgraded to include treatments and rituals  from Scottish seaweed skincare brand ishga. 

The menu includes a host of signature experiences, exclusive to The Spa at Turnberry, developed in partnership between the brand and the spa team. 

Treatments include Ailsa Craig, an 80-minute ritual inspired by the volcanic island visible from the resort. It combines an exfoliating treatment with a full-body massage and uses local ingredients including a Hebridean sea salt and oil scrub.

Other rituals include Woe-Be-Tide, an 80-minute experience blending a detoxifying body treatment with a nourishing facial, and Golfer’s Tonic, a foot and leg treatment, which targets areas of tension following a day on the golf course.
