The Westin Hotels and Resorts brand will make its UK debut next month with the launch of The Westin London City.

Said to combine ‘meaningful wellness and contemporary design’, the 222-bedroom hotel will be set in a prime riverfront location on the north bank of the River Thames.

The hotel’s Heavenly Spa has been designed to prioritise guest’s wellbeing and covers 370sqm with six treatment rooms. Other facilities include a 12m indoor pool which has been carefully constructed around the archaeological remains of the Huggin Hill Bathhouse below. A WestinWORKOUT fitness studio will come complete with TRX exercise equipment and Peloton bikes.

The new hotel's design has been led by British architects Dexter Moren Associates

Led by award-winning British architects Dexter Moren Associates, the design of The Westin London City is fluid and sculptural, built on the premise that a connection to nature enhances wellbeing.

Part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 brands, The Westin London City is owned by 4C Hotel Group and managed by RBH.

As part of Westin’s ‘six pillars’ of wellbeing – sleep, eat, move, feel, work and play well – every bedroom and suite will contain a Westin Heavenly bed to provide ultimate rest and comfort.

Guests will also be encouraged to explore the local area with the RunWESTIN programme, which offers specially created running routes that will take advantage of the soon-to-be-completed final part of the Thames Path, connecting Embankment and the Tower of London.

Created for premium guest comfort, The Westin Heavenly bed will feature in each bedroom

“Integrating wellbeing more holistically into our lifestyle has never been more important and we’re thrilled to be debuting the Westin Hotels and Resorts brand in the UK,” said Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, vice-president, premium and select brands, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International.

“Not only will the hotel set a new precedent for wellness in the capital, but its prime riverfront location will become a destination for locals, tourists and leisure travelers alike, offering incredible access to the city and its copious offerings.”
