The Barnsdale prepares to open its new Signet Spa

The latest addition to the Signet Collection, the Barnsdale hotel has unveiled details of its new Signet Spa, which will open in mid-July.

The hotel is on the edge of Rutland Water – the UK’s largest manmade reservoir. It’s new Signet Spa is predominantly outdoors and has been designed to create a sense of calm and tranquillity for guests.

The alfresco sanctuary has a heated outdoor pool supplied by Asher, wood-fired hot tubs and an outdoor sauna pod, both by Kirami, and two treatment rooms with views of the surrounding countryside.

At the heart of Signet Spa lies the Central Club House, a relaxed space for refreshments, smoothies and hot drinks. The Club House also houses the spa’s changing rooms.

Treatments are offered in the two treatment rooms in partnership with Gaia Skincare.

Guests can choose from a range of carefully crafted treatments designed to awaken the senses, leaving them refreshed and renewed.

The architects and designers on the project were Ross & Ross Project Management. Towels, robes and spa linens are supplied by BC SoftWear

Hollie Danvers has been appointed as spa manager.

Danvers has held management positions at prominent UK salons and spas, including the Mole resort, Ragdale Hall and Eternal Beauty.

At Ragdale Hall, Danvers worked her way up to a senior II Gold Therapist before advancing to management roles in multiple salons and spas across the UK.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new Signet Spa and further enhance our facilities for guests to enjoy,” said Jonathan Carter-Morris, general manager at the Barnsdale.

“With such a beautiful natural setting, it made sense to immerse our guests in nature, with this unique spa experience.”

The Signet Spa will also offer regular workshops and host expert guest practitioners for wellbeing.

The spa will be open to hotel guests and non-residents will be able to purchase morning and afternoon spa packages, as well as the Twilight Spa experience.

The 46-room Barnsdale is a former hunting lodge. The opening of its new spa marks the completion of a transformation into a rural escape.

The Signet Collection is a new hotel company, launched in September 2020 by hotelier and restaurateur Hector Ross.

The first hotel in the portfolio was the Mitre Hampton Court and the brand has plans to open boutique hotels in historically significant properties throughout the UK.
