Marine skincare brand Thalgo has launched a new facial treatment designed to visibly hydrate and strengthen thirsty skin. Source Marine Hydra-Fortifying treatment is a four-step ritual combining marine-powered skincare with smoothing and stretching massage movements.

The 60-minute treatment begins with the Éveil à la Mer massage, which uses relaxing pressure to ease tension and leave the skin supple. Any make-up is then removed and the Melt-In Scrub is applied.

Acupressure and the Reviving Marine Mist are then used to energise the skin and prepare it for the next phase of the treatment, where the Intense Moisture-Quenching Serum is applied. Packed with micronised marine algae filtrate and Mediterranean Padina extract, the serum hydrates the skin.

The Source Marine facial combines marine-powered skincare with massage techniques inspired by the sea

For the Heart of the Ocean massage, the professional Oligo-Marine Modelling Cream is applied to the client’s face, décolleté, arms and trapezius muscles and smoothing, relaxation and stretching motions are used to encourage relaxation and skin receptivity.

A series of movements, inspired by the sea, are then used on the face and neck, to activate tissue metabolism, boost cutaneous vascular irrigation and encourage product absorption.

Following the massage, the Rehydrating Pro Mask is applied. Enriched with hyaluronic acid, the mask delivers hydrating marine manganese and strengthening micronutrients to instantly replenish the skin. The mask is left to sit for 15 minutes, while the therapist delivers a relaxing hand massage.

The skincare collection features seven products, formulated with 15 marine micronutrients

Thalgo has also developed a skincare line to complement the treatment.

Called Source Marine, the seven-piece collection features the Intense Moisture-Quenching Serum, Hydrating Melting Cream, Revitalising Night Cream, as well as Source Marine cream, eye care products and refills housed in eco-friendly pods.

The products are formulated with 14 marine micronutrients to boost hydration and restore the skin.

The Hydrating Melting Cream and Revitalising Night Cream are housed in eco-friendly, refillable pots

As part of Thalgo’s commitment to the environment, the products are made from 92 per cent naturally derived ingredients and are free from endocrine disruptors such as parabens, silicones and BHAs, as well as mineral oils such as paraffin and vaseline.

They also exclude animal-derived ingredients including lanolin and animal squalane and allergens, such as benzyl salicylate.

In addition, the Hydrating Melting Cream and Revitalising Night Cream are housed in eco-friendly, pebble-shaped refillable pots.
