SpaFest 2021: ‘Must-attend’ event to shine a light on people, planet and health

The 2021 edition of leading spa and wellness industry event SpaFest is set to begin on Tuesday, October 12 at the five-star eco-resort Gwel an Mor in Cornwall, UK. 

Running until October 14, the event will focus on ‘people, planet and health’, offering empowering educational sessions and thought-provoking talks.

Among the inspirational speakers will be Sue Harmsworth, MBE, founder of iconic spa and wellness brand ESPA, who will give a keynote speech on the trends and challenges facing the spa and wellness industries.

Other speakers include Kay Pennington, group spa manager of Center Parcs’ Aqua Sana; Claudia Roth, founder of Soul Luxury; Iain Bell, founder of Executive Fitness Foundation and Dr Neil Carpenter, founder of NMC2.

Attendees will alsdo be provided with a series of mental wellbeing workshops, including forest bathing, yoga, swimming and gong baths.

The event will be opened by mental performance coach and founder of Trained Brain, Jamie Edwards, who will deliver a leadership programme on ‘leading yourself and others beyond crisis’.

Founded in 2017, by Made for Life Organics founder Amanda Winwood, SpaFest is a not-for-profit event that benefits the brand’s sister charity The Made for Life Foundation, which supports people living with cancer.

Aiming to put the focus back on people rather than organised selling, SpaFest is a welcoming affair, free from the formalities of name badges and business attire. It offers spa professionals the chance to reconnect, rebuild and re-energise their personal and professional wellbeing, particularly in the wake of the pandemic.
