The much-anticipated spa at the new Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in London is set to open early in the new year.

The subterranean spa has interiors designed by Tokyo-based studio, Curiosity. It will be a boutique sister spa to The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.

Curiosity’s concept has been created with a focus on nature and art. The sleek, stylish wellness space is inspired by the greenery of Hanover Square and includes a sculptural green Ming marble reception desk.

Facilities will include an indoor 25-metre swimming pool, sauna, vitality pools, experience showers and steam rooms. There will also be a state-of-the-art gym.

Biohacking and traditional therapist-led treatments

The spa will also offer dynamic treatments. There will be a biohacking selection, designed to synchronise with brain waves and induce a meditative state.

New to London, these treatments will be available as short 22-minute results-driven biohacks. They will include stress release, mindfulness and power nap.

Other unique treatments include a series of NAD+ vitamin-boosting IV infusions, designed to alleviate symptoms such as jetlag or hangovers.

Brand partners will include Swiss Perfection, Seed to Skin Tuscany and CBD-infused OTO.

Two experiences, exclusive to the spa, have been inspired by the Mayfair surroundings.

The four-handed Tranquility of Mayfair massage will be offered alongside a signature Elegance of Mayfair facial.

Mandarin Oriental’s Asian heritage will be reflected in the signature Oriental Qi ritual.

This will work on the energy of the meridiens using essential oils from Mandarin Oriental’s bespoke range, created exclusively by Aromatherapy Associates.
