Following a £12 million investment, the newly built Salus Spa has opened at the Aldwark Manor Estate in Yorkshire.

Named after the Roman goddess of safety, wellbeing and prosperity, Salus has been designed for relaxation and holistic wellbeing.

Indoor and outdoor facilities include a scenic juniper sauna, steam room, 15m indoor swimming pool by Anapos.

In the spa garden there is a large hydrotherapy pool, outdoor sauna and feature shower. Filtration systems for both indoor and outdoor pools were supplied by Barr + Wray.

“The launch of Salus Spa marks an exciting new chapter for Aldwark Manor Estate; it’s a place where guests can relax, recharge and invest in their wellbeing. Our main ethos is health and wellness, with a focus on all the ways we can encourage guests to embrace their wellbeing.”

Facilities at Salus Spa

A new Technogym equipped gym offers advanced cardio, strength and functional training options.

There is also a unique dance studio space with spin bikes, which offers Technogym’s on-demand virtual classes via a wellness hub. An outdoor fitness area offers a functional training rack.

Six treatment rooms (five single and one double) are due to open as part of phase two in January 2026. There will also be an additional space for touchless, non-therapist led treatments plus a pre arrival and post-treatment lounge.

Spa treatments will be offered in partnership with Elemis in two converted bedrooms until the treatment rooms open next year. Elemis LED masks are available for guests to hire and use while relaxing in the spa.

The spa will also be stocking local brand Bothy Botanicals and supplying protein shakes by Brown Bag Protein from Skipton.
