Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is to open and manage a fourth Italian property, Rosewood Rome, which is set to offer guests a unique subterranean wellness experience when it opens in 2023.
The luxury hospitality group’s eleventh European location occupies the former headquarters of Italy’s Banca Nazionale del Lavoro (BNL) overlooking the iconic Via Veneto and when completed, Rosewood Rome will offer 157 bedrooms, including 44 suites.
The hotel will offer guests Sense, A Rosewood Spa, which will be located on the rooftop and feature four dedicated treatment rooms and a ‘wellness terrace’ with a reflecting pool and dynamic fitness centre. Other wellness features include an underground Roman bath house experience within the bank’s original vault.
Rosewood was appointed by real estate firm Antirion SGR and the transformation of three historic buildings will be managed by Colliers International, led by global architectural and engineering firm Jacobs and feature interior design by Australia’s BAR Studio.
