RAKxa integrative wellness retreat, described as the ‘first of its kind’ for Thailand, is now ready to welcome guests from around the world as soon as they are prepared and allowed to travel.

Located in Bangkok’s ‘Green Lung’ area, a protected jungle-clad island on the Chao Phraya River, the retreat stands within expansive botanical gardens and is accessible by both boat and car.

The wellness offering at RAKxa incorporates a range of modern and ancient modalities

Tailored wellness programmes at RAKxa combine advanced medical treatments with holistic therapies spanning Traditional Thai and Chinese Medicines, Ayurvedic treatments and other energy healing practices.

Ranging from three to 14 days in duration, targeted options provide a focus on detoxification, gut health, immunity boosting and weight management.

A mix of traditional materials and crafts have been used in a contemporary styling

Accommodation at RAKxa comprises 27 villas with a further two residences and 33 villas to open later in the year during the retreat’s second phase. This will also include the launch of an extended menu of treatments and activities as well as a second restaurant serving speciality Asian cuisine.

The retreat’s design incorporates traditional materials, such as rattan, bamboo, mulberry paper, brass and water hyacinth, which are combined with a colour palette of teal and gentle greens to soothe guests and restore a sense of calm.

Wellness hospitality is playing an increasing role in the Thai economy

RAKxa is the result of a partnership between M.K. Real Estate Development plc, Minor Hotels Group and VitalLife Scientific Wellness Centre, a subsidiary company of the Bumrungrad International Hospital.
