One&Only has opened a new three-storey, ocean-fronted spa at its Kéa Island Resort in Greece.

The One&Only Spa offers holistic wellness treatments and tailored programmes by the luxury Ayurvedic aromatherapy brand, Subtle Energies.

Grounded in the notion of sophrosyne – the ancient Greek expression for balancing the mind and body – the 1,700sqm spa offers tailored health and beauty rituals.

Treatments draw on Greek mythology, Ayurvedic healing traditions and indigenous Kéan botanicals.

Signature Subtle Energies treatments

Subtle Energies has curated four exclusive treatments for the location, combining Greek island influences with Ayurvedic principles.

The signature treatments, facials, body wraps, massages and beauty rituals meld Ayurveda with potent local botanicals, Greek mythology and modern wellness techniques. The tailored experiences are infused with the healing powers of water, precious metals and natural oils.

Every treatment draws on holistic wellness principles and results-based aromatherapy backed by 30 years of clinical research.

Aphrodite’s Rose, for example, is an indulgent wellness ritual designed specifically for women and inspired by the Greek goddess of love and beauty. It combines a 24k gold age-defying facial with a massage that incorporates rose oil.

For men, the Rebirth of Adonis is a rejuvenating full-body treatment to increase vitality, release tension and promote energy, rooted in the myths and legends of Adonis.

For the facial and beauty offering, Subtle Energies introduces their an Advance Biotechnology Facial and a Pomegranate Enzyme Facial. Each works to produce an instant superficial effect while providing sustained results on a cellular level.

The range of actives used are cutting-edge within the natural space, using fermentation and to enhance the bioavailability and efficacy of the products.

Transformative retreats

Subtle Energies has also created transformative retreats, lasting three to five days. The ReEnergise programme combines ancient and modern therapies with invigorating fitness sessions in the natural landscape of the resort.

ReSet focuses on restoring balance, easing anxiety and resetting circadian rhythms.

Each programme integrates wellness experiences, tailored fitness activities, ultra-luxury resort accommodation and nourishing daily meals.

One&Only Spa will also host to a roster of visiting practitioners, covering yoga and meditation, holistic healing, movement and fitness.

“We are delighted to have made our debut with One&Only on Kéa,” said Nick Irani, director of operations and brand development at Subtle Energies. “The group gave us a strong vision and mandate to provide authentic wellness treatments and programmes.

“Everything we do is created with intent using the power of nature, and this is the perfect synergy and setting to showcase our work.”

“Our mission is to continue to redefine natural skincare with innovative and new ways to combine the science of nature, and what better way to do this, than to be in the land of Hippocrates.”

Spa facilities on Kéa Island

Drawing on the revitalising effects of Kéa’s natural elements, the waterfront spa features a collection of watsu therapy pools and cold plunge pools. There are also steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs and an indoor-outdoor pool with sea views.

There are six treatment rooms including two couple’s rooms and four single cabins.

Additional facilities include an indoor-outdoor fitness centre, a dedicated teens’ area and a Pedi:Mani:Cure Studio by Bastien Gonzalez.

Gonzalez offers exclusive treatments for the feet, nails and hands, with a focus on natural rituals inspired by Kéa’s idyllic setting.

The fitness centre offers outdoor classes including spinning in the alfresco Peloton studio, plus sunset yoga and vinyasa flow in a sea-view pavilion.

Kéa’s architectural traditions

Architect John Heah has designed the resort to pay homage to Kéa’s architectural traditions. Interiors feature hand-cut local stone, Greek marble, pergolas, white-washed walls and rounded archways.

“Every One&Only resort is one of a kind. With a population of just 2,300 residents, Kéa island is incredibly special to its people – it was our privilege to work with the community to authentically reflect and protect Kéa’s unique spirit,” said Philippe Zuber, CEO of One&Only’s parent company, Kerzner International.

“This off-the-radar destination reveals a different side to the Cyclades, promising a grounding stay that leaves guests feeling relaxed and revitalised.”

The 63-villa resort is One&Only’s second venture in Greece, joining One&Only Aesthesis in Athens, which opened in 2023.

It will be followed by an opening in America later this year, as the brand make its debut in the US in Big Sky, Montana.
