OKU Hotels has opened its fourth property, its first in Türkiye.

The 58-room OKU Bodrum, on the northern coast of the Bodrum peninsula, is an adults-only retreat complete with an OKU Spa.

Designed by AEM Architecture with interiors by the in-house design team, the 570sqm OKU Spa offers a curated programme of wellness rituals.

Treatments are in partnership with Amantara Istanbul and Rumi Cosmetics for the hammam. The fitness centre offers a mixture of Nohrd and Technogym equipment.

Facilities include a traditional Turkish hammam, sauna, sea view fitness area, relaxation space and open-air seafront treatment cabanas.

“At OKU, we believe wellness should feel deeply connected to both the destination and the individual. Our approach combines local Turkish influences with modern holistic therapies and personalised treatments that support rest, restoration and wellbeing.”

“Our signature hammam experience is a true centrepiece of the wellness offering,” said Alican Sunal, area general manager, OKU Hotels.

“The hammam invites guests to immerse themselves in one of Türkiye’s most treasured traditions, creating a grounding ritual for both body and mind.

“Guests are encouraged to slow down, reconnect and enjoy moments of genuine calm, leaving with a renewed sense of balance.”

Traditional Turkish rituals

Curated rituals also go beyond the treatment room, with beachside breathwork sessions at sunrise, sound healing at dusk and fortune telling using Turkish coffee grounds.

The Myndos Journey is the spa’s three-day retreat, inspired by the ancient Myndos peninsula. Beginning with Rumi’s Rose Holistic Ritual and body mask in the Turkish Hammam, each treatment that builds gently upon the last.

The retreat concludes with a grounding foot massage combined with a tea tree exfoliation.

Interiors reflect OKU’s signature boho-chic, minimalistic style with earth-toned linens, natural materials and a distinctly Turkish flair.

A collaboration with one of Turkey’s leading art curators, Begüm Güney, introduces a collection of artworks and sculptural installations across the hotel.
