Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian transforms spa offering with new wellness partnerships

The spa at the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian has transformed its spa offering following new wellness partnerships with 111Skin and Ground Wellbeing. 

The change was spearheaded by spa manager Claire Doering, who has evolved the treatment menu to include ‘sincere’ wellbeing and therapeutic massage rituals that ‘offer more than relaxation’, as well as a host of rejuvenating beauty and wellness treatments from Ground Wellbeing and 111Skin.

“After a challenging period for our guests near and far, it’s of the utmost importance to our team to focus on the wellbeing of our guests and offer them a haven of relaxation and pampering with a selection of tailor-designed experiences offered exclusively within Scotland at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian.”

Developed by husband-and-wife team of internationally renowned plastic surgeon Dr Yannis Alexandrides and CEO Eva Alexandridis, 111Skin has been described as ‘the culmination of more than 30 years of surgical knowledge, innovative ingredients and medically inspired delivery methods’. 

Its partnership with Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, will see the implementation of an in-clinic experience offering 111Skin Spa/Clinic treatments using advanced medical formulations and results-driven products offering both immediate and long-lasting effects.

Commenting on the partnership Dr Alexandrides said: “We’re thrilled to offer our 111Skin Spa/Clinic treatments at the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh Spa; bringing Harley Street expertise and medically-inspired innovation to Edinburgh for a wellness experience like no other.”

“Our extensive menu includes a variety of facials and body treatments that focus on providing the aesthetic conclusion, harmonising 111Skin products, technology and therapeutic techniques.” 

Aimed at those seeking intense relaxation, Ground Wellbeing was created by spa industry veteran Peigin Crowley and offers several tailored massage rituals combining gentle breathwork and rhythmic pressure to stimulate and rejuvenate the body.

Guests can choose from six Grounding Rituals, including Cleansing, Restorative, Comforting and Balancing, each combining Gua Sha stones and reflexology to encourage deep relaxation, as well as breathwork, lymphatic drainage, acupressure, hands-on rhythmical pressures and techniques and aromatherapy oils.

Its products, handmade in small batches in Cork, Ireland, feature plant-based ingredients and vegan formulations and are designed to inspire intuitive self-care and are blended to soothe the soul.
