Maybourne Hotel Group has announced plans to open a next-generation wellbeing and longevity members’ club in London’s Knightsbridge.

Heralded as ‘a new era of wellbeing’ by Maybourne, Surrenne is set to open in April 2024.

A standalone wellbeing brand launched by Maybourne, Surrenne will offer a new interpretation on wellness experiences.

Designed by Remi Tessier, Surrenne is set over four floors, with nearly 2,000sqm entirely devoted to health and wellbeing, as well as a gym.

Surrenne will offer guided practices to help guests and members reach their goals

Blending tech with wellness rituals

The concept for Surrenne is founded on science-backed, evidence-based protocols. It will offer a menu of wellness programming, blending high-tech with modern rituals and providing a holistic approach to emotional wellbeing and physical health

The club’s facilities will include a 22m swimming pool, complete with sound system for in-water meditation.

Located opposite Hyde Park, Surrenne will also offer a wide array of indoor and outdoor fitness classes as well as wild swimming.

Guests of The Berkeley and The Emory will receive complimentary access to Surrenne as part of their stay.

Creative director of spa and wellness design for Maybourne Group, Inge Theron, has conceptualised Surrenne and brought together a cast of modern wellness pioneers to serve Emory hotel guests and members.

"With Surrenne we are setting a new standard, ushering in a bold vision for health and wellbeing. No other hotel group has created a standalone wellbeing offering of this magnitude, with a new globally trademarked brand and product line."

“Curated by a group of world-famous thought leaders, the very people innovating at every level of human performance, Surrenne is a unique concept that infuses every touch point with wellness,” continues Theron.

“We have created an exclusive members-only destination for rejuvenation, a curated space that inspires the practise of self-care and a range of facilities that encapsulate what the modern lifestyle demands.

“What will make us unique is we offer evidence-based protocols at the forefront of functional medicine, which will allows us to meet our members where they are, and then craft personalised and effective concierge-led programmes.”

Supporting members to live longer, better lives

Surrenne will include a Longevity Clinic in partnership with tech pioneers Virtusanthe first in the world.

Virtusan’s scientific advisory board, which includes Dr Andrew Huberman of the Huberman Lab and Dr David Sinclair, author of Lifespan, have crafted longevity and fitness protocols that ensure optimal performance, cognition and targeted physical training.

Available to both members and hotel guests, Virtusan’s clinic will offer evidence-based methodologies and diagnostics backed by neuroscience.

Virtusan’s guided practices are designed in a way to trigger neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to change and adapt in response to experience – to help guests and members reach their health goals.

The Longevity Clinic with offer medical grade hyberbaric oxygen therapy, VO2 max testing and a full diagnostics facility.

“Our mission clear: support our members in living longer, better lives,” says Theron.

The Emory is Maybourne Hotel Group's first new London property in 50 years

Surrenne will be home to the UK’s first studio from global fitness pioneer Tracy Anderson, offering her Tracy Anderson Method workouts.

There will be a personal training gym with a focus on lifting weights, and in addition a miha bodytec whole body EMS device with the latest m.ove wireless workstation.

Advanced sculpting massages and Omakase treatments

Signature medical grade facials will be on offer from surgeon and skincare expert Dr Lara Devgan. There will be an additional menu of multi-sensory experiences, plus signature dry and wet body treatments, and facials.

The spa area will offer FaceGym for high performance sculpting and Stella Mccartney’s first facial from her new organic line.

Surrenne will include a custom Ashiatsu room for floor based massage work. Theron says: “I have personally designed a unique protocol for this room, which is a mash up of my favourite massage modalities.

“For this project I sent my team to Korea to co-create an advanced scalp treatment and we have reinvented wet spa with an immersive, full-body experience.

“Surrenne will also offer advanced sculpting massages incorporating an infrared sauna, built into the treatment rooms. Our team is trained in a comprehensive list of modalities, but just as comfortable going off menu and designing a personalised Omekase treatment.”
