Mama Shelter brings authentic Roman bathing into the 21st century

Quirky design-centric hotel group Mama Shelter is to unveil a new Roman baths concept at its new property in the Italian city.

Mama Shelter Roma will open next month with 217 guest bedrooms.

The Mama Baths have been designed by the Mama Design team in keeping with the tradition of Roman bathing. The space will include a pool, a sauna and a hammam room, which can be followed by a drink at the bar or time relaxing in the Chill Zone.

Mama Shelter plans to open a total of five new hotels this year with the group’s next 130-bedroom property debuting in Lisbon, Portugal in November, followed by a third hotel in the La Défense area of Paris in November and hotels in Bahrain and Dubai by the end of the year.
