Luxury eco-spa resort operator Lefay Resorts & Residences has been appointed by developer Aminona Luxury Resort and Village (ALRV) to manage its new spa resort in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.

The new resort will mark Lefay’s first property outside Italy, adding to its portfolio that includes Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda and Lefay Resort & Spa Dolomiti.

Lefay Spa Method

A 4,000sqm Lefay Spa will include 21 treatment rooms, multiple indoor and outdoor swimming pools, wet zones and an adults-only area.

Themed along the original concept of the Lefay Spa Method, the wellness area will combine Traditional Chinese Medicine with western scientific research to offer 360-degree regeneration for body, mind, and spirit.

Prestigious ski resort

The move heralds the launch of a pipeline of properties for the Lefay brand across central Europe.

ALRV is managing the full development process, creating a new mountain spa destination in Crans-Montana, one of the most prestigious Swiss ski resorts.

“I’m delighted that Lefay has been selected by ALRV to manage its flagship property within the new Aminona project,” said Alcide Leali, CEO of Lefay Resorts.

“This achievement marks the first step of our international expansion, as well as being our first property under a management contract. We are pleased to continue our growth with the addition of such an outstanding destination.”

Regeneration for body, mind and spirit

Overlooking Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn mountains, the new Swiss Lefay resort will offer 106 suites and 12 serviced branded private chalets with direct access to the slopes.

The hotel and spa design is being supervised by Callison RTKL and IB+, and will be consistent with Lefay’s Italian-style vision.

Interiors, curated by MKV, will use natural materials including rough stone, textured wood and bronze to create a rich backdrop and luxury finish.

Consistently with Lefay’s commitment towards sustainability, the project will use clean energy sources such as geothermal, photovoltaic panels and biomass.
