Lauren Wicks joins W London as spa manager

W London has appointed Lauren Wicks as its new spa manager. Originally from the Eastern Cape in South Africa, Wicks has lived in London for the past eight years.

A spa and beauty therapist for the past 14 years, she has worked most recently as spa manager at the Lensbury Resort on the banks of the Thames in Teddington, and was salon manager at the luxury nail salon, Townhouse.

In both of these roles, Wicks was focused on transformation management.

“I aim to create bespoke, memorable experiences that uphold W London’s reputation for luxury and wellbeing,” said Wicks.

“Away Spa has solid wellness offerings and I am excited to work with [comfort zone]’s products and treatments at the spa. It’s great to know that sustainability is a key part of their offering.

“Within the first six months, I aim to thoroughly explore each area of the spa and the user journey to identify opportunities to further amplify our luxury offering.”

Facilities at Away Spa London include a steam room, sauna and Technogym-equipped FIT gym, with bold graphics by Marcel Van Der Vlught.

The Away Spa collaborates with award-winning stretch and movement coach Roger Frampton and tanning expert James Harknett.
