Kohler Waters Spa announces major transformation plans

Kohler Waters Spa at Old Course Hotel and Golf Resort in Scotland has revealed plans for the last stage of a comprehensive transformation project.

The enhancements, due for completion at the end of the summer, will include a KLAFS snow and sauna cabin for contrast therapy.

KLAFS will complete infrastructure upgrade in partnership with pool-maker Guncast.

Additional upgrades will include a revitalised spa café and upgraded male changing facilities.

“By reimagining our spa, we’re crafting a sanctuary that celebrates movement, recovery and indulgence in equal measure,” said Phyllis Wilkie, general manager, Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa.

“Our contrast therapy facilities will offer guests an invigorating journey from hot to cold, enhancing both physical recovery and mental wellness.”

Thermal and hydrotherapy facilities

This final phase of improvements follows additional renovations, unveiled last year.

This stage included a full hydrotherapy suite renovation and the addition of an Espuro Foam Experience steam room.

The latest renovation will also features a complete overhaul of the plant and HVAC systems, in partnership with Guncast.

This infrastructure upgrade will incorporate technology to maximise power savings and reduce chemical usage.

Throughout the renovation works, the spa will offer treatments in adapted bedrooms.

Kohler Waters Spa offers treatments using Temple Spa, Phytomer and Made for Life Organics.

The recently upgraded Kohler Waters Fitness, which includes a 20-metre pool, hot tub and infrared sauna, will remain open.

Situated on the coast of Scotland, the five-star Old Course Hotel features the only Kohler Waters Spa outside of the US.

The renowned hotel hosted last year’s Global Wellness Summit.
