Ikos Porto Petro opens with a new spa in Spain

Ikos Porto Petro has opened on the Spanish island of Mallorca following a £1.7 million investment. The resort is nestled between two stunning sandy coves, along a kilometre of pristine coastline on the south-east coast of the island.

The property features 319 elegantly designed rooms, suites and bungalows, including a selection of one, two and three-bedroom bungalow suites. Many rooms feature balconies, gardens and private pools with impressive views of the sea.

The luxury all-inclusive hotel features a brand-new Anne Semonin Spa, designed by Studio Gronda. The 1,200 sqm facility features an indoor pool, steam room, sauna, relaxation lounge and gym.

The project also boasts three couples’ treatment rooms, six single treatment rooms, one Thai massage room, and one nail treatment room and hair salon.

Spiros Gaitanidis is group spa director at Ikos Resorts, while Tanja Altin is spa manager at Porto Petro.

As well as include a full range of massages, wellness therapies and luxury facials by Anne Semonin, the spa has also launched a treatment menu for teens.

Some guests can also enjoy a range of upgraded benefits. In the Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin Paris, those staying in Deluxe Collection accommodation will receive two complimentary neck and back treatments per room and per stay.

Behind the project

Treatment beds are by Lemi Group, supplied by Idolo Group. Fitness equipment in the gym has been supplied by Technogym, Waterower, Beaverfit and Casall. Staff uniforms are by Sur Mesure and towels and linens by Cocomat. Spa software has been provided by Afrodite Spa Sortware, while soft furnishings spa feature pieces from Joenfa, Couluer Locale, House Nordic, Tapiza and Grupo Buk.

Ikos Porto Petro boasts an extensive gourmet offering, with five à la carte restaurants. Five indoor and outdoor heated pools include an adults-only option as well as separate pools for children and babies.

The new opening is the brand’s second property in Spain, following its debut on the Iberian Peninsula with the opening of Ikos Andalusia in Marbella – Estepona in May 2021.
