Healing Hotels of the World (HHOW) has announced that its Healing Summit will take on a new format in 2024, as the Heart Retreat.

The Retreat will be held at the Broughton Sanctuary in Yorkshire from October 31 to November 4.

HHOW, which has 85 member hotels to date, founded the Healing Summit ten years ago. Its aim was to establish a space where individuals and businesses could learn from their collective wisdom about a holistic life.

The inspiration behind of the Healing Summit was to implement positive change for delegates, both personally and professionally.

Now HHOW has diversified the summit to create a new format – the Heart Retreat.

“In The Heart Retreat, we do not just want to talk about healing but to give an experience of healing. This is why we are moving from an educational summit to an immersive retreat, so delegates can take a deep dive into their own hearts.”

A deep delve into personal wellbeing

The Heart Retreat will move away from the summit’s educational background to instead offer delegates an immersion into their own heart space.

Renowned practitioners from around the world will lead participants in deep, powerful and carefully crafted healing sessions. These will include meditation, yoga and contemplation. This year’s retreat teachers and speakers come from various walks of life, including economics, naturopathy, mindfulness, healing arts and more.

Speakers will include former monk and breathwork, mindfulness and meditation teacher, David Behrens and co-founder of Reboot the Future, Kim Polman.

They will be joined by globally recognised Nada (vibrational) healer, Dr Shruti Nada Poddar and transformational whole life coach Vanessa Paige.  Climate and equalities campaigner Paul Polman will also join the delegation with spiritual teacher Marta Hobbs and intuitive life coach and meditation teacher Velleda Dobrowolny.

Additional speakers are set to be announced.

“As the world navigates turbulent times, we have decided to create a space where we learn how to return to ourselves, be grounded and live from the heart. We firmly believe that if we are seeking change for the betterment of our life, the life of others and the planet, we must begin our own healing journey.”

Dr. Elisabeth Ixmeier

Co-founder, Healing Summit

The four-night retreat at the Broughton Sanctuary, a HHOW property, is limited to 50 places.

Beginning with a welcome dinner on Thursday, October 31, delegates will experience three days of intense healing practices.

“Coming together in a community with the goal of waking up to our inner heart, reaching deeply into the contentment of our inner being and finding peace, is my wish for everyone who attends,” said Anne Biging, co-founder of Healing Hotels of the World and the Healing Summit.

“At the conclusion of three days, we want participants to feel uplifted and renewed, with a sense of balance and clarity.”
