Healing Hotels of the World  has added two new Italian properties to its global consortium of holistic wellbeing hotels and resorts.

Palazzo BelVedere

The first new addition is the Palazzo BelVedere in Montecatini Terme, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed spa town in central Italy.

Billed as a ‘modern wellness retreat’,  the resort boasts a 60-room hotel, two restaurants, a relaxation garden and a thermal spa.

Taking a holistic approach, the spa combines traditional European and Mediterranean medicine and holistic naturopathy with Montecatini’s healing waters and the four Hippocratic qualities: hot, cold, wet and dry.

Circular wellness at Palazzo BelVedere

Palazzo BelVedere’s wellness offering can be tailored to the individual and includes massages, treatments, nutrition, thermal baths and breathwork, as well as the art of thinking, conscious meditation, art therapy, singing, dancing and relationship-focused therapies.

The resort has recently undergone a complete renovation to become an urban retreat focusing on circular wellbeing, encompassing the wellness of the individual, the local community and the planet.

Rediscovering beauty

“We’re so happy that Palazzo BelVedere is joining HHOW,” said Healing Hotels of the World co-founder Dr Elisabeth Ixmeier.

“The BelVedere and the age-old spa tradition of Montecatini Terme provide the ideal setting for anyone wishing to rediscover the beauty within and all around us, to regain awareness of the relationship between our health and our inner lives, to rebalance themselves and embrace a healthier lifestyle.”

Almar Giardino di Costanza Resort

Also joining Healing Hotels of the World is the Almar Giardino di Costanza Resort in western Sicily. Described as a luxury wellbeing retreat, Almar Giardino di Costanza offers the ‘most natural of all healing therapies’ – sun, trees and gardens.

Almar Giardino di Costanza Resort is to open a 2,700sqm spa in 2023

The resort features an 88-room hotel centred around a central garden and offers specialist wellness rituals informed by a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the ancient Chinese practice of Tuina, as well as western and eastern philosophies to energise, detox, support immune health and destress.

The resort is set to welcome a 2,700sqm spa in 2023 and will expand its wellness programming to include Pilates and yoga classes.

“Almar Giardino di Costanza is an oasis of tranquillity and regeneration, rooted in the great history of the Sicilian land and caressed by the magic energy of the Meditteranean."
