Fairmont La Marina Rabat Salé opens in Morocco

Fairmont La Marina Rabat Salé, the latest luxury spa hotel from the Accor’s luxury collection, has opened in Morocco, raising the bar for wellness in north Africa.

Set on the estuary of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean, Fairmont La Marina Rabat Salé has debuted in Rabat’s twin city, Salé. With sweeping views of the ocean, and just ten minutes from the airport and the centre of Rabat, Morocco’s capital city, the hotel boasts 186 rooms, including 27 sumptuous suites, a residence with 88 flats and a stunning spa.

Designed with impressive marble and a subtle colour palette, the 650sqm spa at Fairmont La Marina Rabat Salé offers guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wellness space that is both elegant and luxurious.

From the spa lobby to the interior, flowing water references the Bouregreg River just beyond the hotel. The spa features ten treatment rooms with beds by Gharieni, a VIP suite with a private hammam, as well as a beautiful relaxation room. Authentic hammam experiences include products from Maison d’Asa and guests can also opt for personalised treatments with the Diamond Well-Living range from Natura Bissé.

The indoor pool and hamman were supplied by Massor, uniforms were provided by Karim Tassi, towels and spa linens from Traplink and the spa software was installed by Book4Time.

Expanding the Fairmont brand in Morocco

The property in Salé is the fourth Fairmont opening in Morocco following Fairmont Royal Palm in Marrakech, Fairmont Tazi Palace in Tangier and Fairmont Taghazout Bay, just north of Agadir.

Inspired by the architecture of early 1920’s Rabat, the hotel features high ceilings and a design nod to the Art Deco movement. Handcrafted techniques are evident throughout the hotel, highlighting a rich tradition of designs from Morocco’s long history.

The rooms at Fairmont La Marina Rabat Salé fuse authentic details from the past, heavily influenced by the Amazighs and Andalusians, with elements designed by contemporary local artists and craftsmen. The property also boasts three restaurants and a rooftop bar and pool with 360-degree views of the twin cities.

Get active at Fairmont Fit

With a terrace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and a breathtaking view of the ramparts of the Oudayas fort, Fairmont Fit allows guests to keep active while travelling and offers the most up-to-date equipment provided by Technogym. Activities include cardio training circuits, weight training, aqua aerobics sessions in a heated pool and more relaxing activities such as yoga or guided meditation sessions on the beach.
