ESPA Life launches Middle Eastern flagship in Doha, Qatar

After several years in the making, the ESPA Design & Consultancy and Operational teams have announced the opening of ESPA Life at Waldorf Astoria Lusail, Doha.

The private beachfront spa – a new ESPA Life flagship in the Middle East – offers 180-degree views of the bay and the Lusail skyline.

Interiors by world-renowned French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon are inspired by the desert and seas of Qatar.

A holistic approach

The spa spans three floors and 2,500sqm, offering a welcoming space where guests can pause, connect and reset.

Indoor and outdoor zones are connected by a terrace, that flows around the entire spa allowing natural light in.

Guests enter spa through a curved portal, embarking upon a journey through a series of arches that create a sense of rhythm.

A one-of-a-kind spa

The spa seeks to channel a contemporary elegance, inspired by the world of luxury yachting. Polished surfaces contrast with tactile textures and warm natural colours complement the sensorial journey.

“Our Design and Consultancy team worked closely with The Waldorf Astoria and Hilton group, from initial concept to opening, to create a one-of-a-kind spa that we believe represents the future of wellness.”

Designed for deep revitalisation

There are 19 treatment suites at the property, decorated with accents of gold, bronze, mother of pearl and azure Murano glass.

The Spa Suite includes a dedicated lounge and dining space, private double treatment room and thermal facilities.

The male thermal suite offers cobalt-blue hot vitality pools and rattan loungers that hover over the water, while the female spa has hot vitality and cold-dipping pools.

In addition there are sculpted marble heated loungers, steam rooms, saunas, Aquamoon showers and a snow room experience.

Restorative wellness

Transformative experiences on offer, billed as Restorative Wellness, include nutrition, exercise, movement, treatments and mindful practices. Each has been curated to nurture life skills and help guests feel peace, comfort and vitality.

ESPA Life’s Restorative Wellness treatments blend holistic practices with scientific wellbeing and technology, which ESPA defines as Holisticology.

This trilogy works in synergy with the systems of the body to reset mindful wellbeing.

Beyond the spa, the ESPA flagship also offers a mindful studio and fitness centre with Technogym indoor equipment and My Equilibria outdoor gym equipment.
