About Buchinger Wilhelmi
The Buchinger story began in 1920 when Dr Otto Buchinger, then a young naval officer, sought alleviation for crippling rheumatoid polyarthritis. Unable to find a conventional medical approach to support his condition, he turned to fasting which saved his “life and existence” and formed the basis for a new Buchinger Method of medical therapeutic fasting.
Today, Buchinger clinics welcome guests from more than 70 countries worldwide, with a repeat rate of over 70%. In addition to being centres of healing and prevention, they are also centres of research.
Working in collaboration with leading universities in Milan, Strasbourg, Charité Berlin and King’s College London, a full time in house team research specialists conduct and publish regular studies about the safety and efficacy of the Buchinger Method.
