British Beauty Week 2022 events to celebrate 'the power of beauty'

The 2022 edition of British Beauty Week (BBW)  gets underway today (September 5). 

Highlighting ‘the power of beauty’, this year’s BBW is set to be the most inclusive and accessible event to date, featuring shopping events, panel discussions, webinars and interactive beauty sessions from brands such as Space NK, Meta and Avon.

The power of beauty

Running until September 11, the event aims to connect beauty consumers with industry leaders such as Boots and Superdrug, as well as indie disruptors such as By Sarah London, Juni Cosmetics and ARKIVE Headcare.

Additionally, this year’s BBW will offer an education programme to inspire and educate talent from across the UK to think about the connective power of beauty.

Education programming highlights

Meta’s Beyond Beauty: The Power of Video

An IRL event hosted by Meta that educates beauty professionals on how to create high-performance Instagram Reels. 

The STEM Ambassador Summit

Part of the British Beauty Council’s newly launched Future Talent Programme, the STEM Ambassador Summit is a webinar that will showcase the beauty careers that require  science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) qualifications. Attendees will also be the first to see the Future Talent films, featuring creators such as Jamie Genevieve, The Plastic Boy and The Welsh Twins.

Understanding the conscious consumer with the Sustainable Beauty Coalition (SBC)

Covering topics such as greenwashing legislation, transparency and certifications, this panel, featuring SBC chair Jayn Sterland, Marie Claire’s Lisa Oxenham and Provenance, will explore what it means to be a planet-conscious consumer and the evolving demands of conscious consumers. 

Dermalogica X Hydrafacial consultations

Dermalogica customers in London and Belfast can visit their local stores to discover the key benefits behind the Dermalogica X Hydrafacial treatment. Additionally, Dermalogica is also hosting two webinars on Healthy Skin and Advanced Treatments.
