Boringdon Hall, a historic manor hotel in Devon, has unveiled plans to launch its newly created wellness accommodation.

The project, which will be available to guests from August this year, includes 12 wellness rooms, two wellness suites and an additional relaxation room as well as outdoor hot tubs.

Inspired by the manor’s grounds and countryside location, the colour palette and textures chosen boast natural elements and neutral colours throughout.

“We wanted to carry the design and interiors from the spa through to the wellness rooms and suites to evoke a sense of calm and relaxation, drawing inspiration from the grounds.”

Operations director, Boringdon Hall

The lighting design has been calibrated to create a serene ambiance, and large floor-to-ceiling windows will bring the outside in, flooding rooms with light.

Walls throughout the new build are home to living moss, said to naturally remove toxins from the air and replace with clean, fresh oxygen.

Laura Cameron, operations director, who led the interiors, said: “As the rooms and suites are nestled into the side of Dartmoor, we have pulled the colours and textures of nature into the rooms using natural materials and natural colours.”

Equipped with the expected hotel necessities such as robes and spa amenities from Gaia Skincare, the hotel’s new additions will offer an array of health and wellness amenities. These include yoga mats, mindful literature and wellness care kits.

The two wellness suites feature luxurious rain showers and private outdoor spa baths.

Guests will have access to the Gaia Spa, which is conveniently located nearby.

They will also be able to enjoy breakfast or brunch in the spa’s relaxed Spatisserie restaurant.
