Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa has shared first-look CGI imagery of its expanded wellness offering.

The enhanced spa builds on the Wiltshire hotel’s £2.5m transformation and will see the addition of an outdoor spa village and nature-led wellness spaces.

Set to open in July, facilities will include a 14m outdoor swimming pool, an eight-metre hydrotherapy pool, hot tubs, an outdoor sauna and a cold-plunge bath.

Sauna rituals and thermal journeys will incorporate heat, cold-plunge therapy and sensory elements such as whisking.

“The ambition at Bishopstrow has always been to create a space where wellbeing feels natural. With the new spa village, we’re inviting guests to experience something deeper and equipping them to take that sense of calm into everyday life.”

Reconnecting to nature and self

In the expanded spa, Bishopstrow will invite guests to actively reconnect with themselves and the natural world.

At the heart of its new programme is a shift away from traditional spa-only treatments towards experience-led wellbeing.

Alongside yoga and Pilates, there will be a diverse calendar of guided practices spanning movement, mindfulness and ritual, including cacao and drumming ceremonies.

The spa will offer chakra dance and free movement classes, sound baths and breathwork sessions, blending guided meditation with immersive sound healing.

Grounding and enduring wellness

The new spa treatment menu will be offered in collaboration with Wildsmith.

Woven into the spa’s evolving philosophy, Wildsmith’s nature-led treatment pathways will underpin a new suite of immersive experiences.

“Our new treatments and partnership with Wildsmith are designed to go beyond the moment of relaxation,” said Angela Bonner, spa director at Bishopstrow.

“We want guest to leave feeling not only restored but with something they can take away with them, whether that’s a sense of calm, a new ritual or a different way of exploring connection.”

Bishopstrow has also partnered with the Forest of Imagination, whose art installations will provide spaces for quiet contemplation.

“Bishopstrow’s vision of a wellbeing space rooted in nature is well aligned with our own philosophy. We appreciate the care with which the Bishopstrow team are evolving the property's wellbeing offering to create experiences that feel both grounding and enduring.”
