Leading luxury skincare brand Babor has teamed up with ocean-cleaning tech company everwave and the Audi Environmental Foundation (AEF) to campaign against the pollution of the world’s waters by plastic waste.

As part of a series of actions including in-store and beach-cleaning events, in April an everwave garbage collection boat will help to clean up the River Danube on behalf of Babor and the AEF.

The initiative is part of Babor’s Green Agenda, a sustainability roadmap that includes a company target of using 30% less virgin plastic by 2023.

BABOR has teamed up with the AEF and everwave for a series of environmental protection campaigns

Contributions to the effort can be made via the German brand’s website or at participating stores during ‘Green Week’ between April 18-25, when every purchase made will support the campaign.

Created more than ten years ago, the AEF actively promotes new technologies ‘for a brighter future’ and contributes towards environmental protection as well as helping to create momentum for sustainable behaviour.

Green start-up everwave, previously Pacific Garbage Screening e.V, was founded by Marcella Hansch in 2016 and specialises in cleaning up the oceans via technology including anchored platforms and AI waste collectors.
