Aztec Hotel and Spa, Bristol, appoints new spa manager

The Aztec Hotel & Spa in Bristol, a Daniel Thwaites property, has announced that Connor Lake will be taking over as the new spa manager.

Lake will be managing a team of 17 at the spa. He brings with him experience from previous roles at leading spa destinations, including as spa manager at the MacDonald Bath Spa Hotel.

Lake has also specialised in fitness and sales at DW Sports, Snap Fitness and Hilton.

Understanding that fitness is a key element of the overall wellness experience, he decided to apply his knowledge in the spa setting.

On starting his role at Aztec, Lake’s goal is to see the spa grow in both reputation and profitability, so it is recognised as the best within the area.

New spa facilities at Aztec Hotel

Earlier this year, the spa announced the opening of a new Himalayan Salt Sauna and Relax Lounge.

A dedicated new space for relaxation post-treatment, the new Relax Room measures 100sqm and can accommodate 21 guests.

The addition is equipped with three bespoke manicure-pedicure chairs by REM.

The spa also offers a thermal experiences including a sauna, hot tub and a steam room. An indoor swimming pool completes the offering.
