April debut for Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid

Following the most extensive restoration in its 110-year history, the Spanish capital city’s iconic Ritz hotel will reopen as Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid in April 2021.

The hotel’s renovation includes a full restoration of the glass cupola over the Palm Court, the first time that this will be visible to guests in 80 years, and has kept close the striking Belle Époque character of the original building.

The luxury hotel’s boutique 750sqm fitness and wellness centre will feature bespoke treatments by The Beauty Concept.

Created in 2005 by Madrilenian beauty entrepreneur Paz Torralba, The Beauty Concept offers a menu of customised face and body skincare therapies in one exclusive, dedicated treatment room.

Further professional brands on the comprehensive spa menu include Valmont; Cellcosmet; IS Clinical; Margaret Dabbs London; Shellac and OPI.

Other new spa facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, a vitality pool, experience showers and a steamroom as well as a Technogym-equipped fitness space.
