Kämp Spa, part of Hotel Kämp in Helsinki, has reopened after a full refurbishment.

The reimagined wellness concept combines historic elegance and Finnish heritage with a personalised approach to wellbeing.

Spanning 1,200sqm, Kämp Spa offers timeless Nordic rituals alongside evidence-based wellness practices.

Facilities include traditional Finnish sauna by IKI Sauna, plus a steam and infrared sauna by Harvia. There is a pool and cold plunge by Pool4You, as well as a cryotherapy chamber from Cryotech Finland.

Raison d’Etre’s project manager Maria Nystedt worked on the concept for the new Kämp Spa.

“Throughout its history, Hotel Kämp has been a place where new and distinctive experiences have been introduced to Helsinki. With the reimagined Kämp Spa, we are continuing that tradition by creating a more complete wellbeing offering, combining our Finnish heritage with a holistic approach.”

A personalised approach

For spa treatments, there are partnerships with Environ, ESPA, iS Clinical, Yin Your Skin and DMK. The offering encompasses signature massages and advanced facials as well as longevity-focused bodywork.

Moving away from traditional spa, there are recovery, performance and everyday rituals, designed around the individual.

Neurosonic beds are supplied by Neurosonic Tech and compression boots are by Cryotech Finland.

“Rooted in the legacy of Finnish wellbeing, Kämp Spa brings together the elemental contrasts of the North with longevity-inspired practices and a deeply personalised approach,” said Anna-Cari Gund, MD at Raison d’Etre.

“The result is an authentic yet contemporary experience; a place where wellbeing is redefined.”

Nourishment is considered part of the treatment and the Spa Lounge offers Nordic flavours and functional beverages.

The menu features collagen ice cream, crafted in-house, and Kämp Spa Signature mocktails and cocktails, one uniquely served in a cup resembling a traditional Finnish sauna bucket.

Concept architecture and interior design was by UK-based Archer Humphryes Architects, while implementation was carried out by Futudesign.

The legacy of Finnish wellbeing

Kämp Spa’s  reimagined concept is part of the renewal of Hotel Kämp, one of Helsinki’s most iconic hotels.

A defining feature of the new concept is the Kämp Spa Members’ Club, an exclusive community for long-term wellness with a limited number of memberships.

The club offers year-round access to Kämp Spa’s facilities and the Technogym-equipped gym, as well as personalised guidance.
