Hall of Wellness Awards: 2020 winners announced

The inaugural Hall of Wellness (HOW) Awards have been presented at a virtual gala by the organisation’s founder Kathryn Moore.

Created to recognise exceptional individuals in spa, beauty, hair and wellness, a total of 110 awards were presented over seven categories, split between global and regional sectors.

This year’s winners included Ana Crawford of Spa Evolution Limited as Global Consultant of the Year; Sven Huckenbeck, group spa director of Ensana Health Spa Hotels, who was named Global Director/Manager of the Year; and Andrew Jacka of Spa Origins who was recognised as Global Personality/Contributor to the industry.

The money raised from the awards sponsorship will go towards a Scholarship Fund that has been created to offer training and upskilling for spa professionals who apply for it.

Kathryn Moore told European Spa: “We wanted to find a way to recognise the years of expertise that our people have put into their careers.

“We want them to know that we see them, we know what goes into honing their craft and we believe it’s time to shed some light on their stories. As an industry, we must understand how important it is to invest in our people.”
